On 15 October 2021, Prof. Ilan Wurman, a constitutionalist from ASU, Arizona State University, was a guest in the Anglo-Saxon Legal Expert training’s Fundamental Rights course taught by Márton Sulyok, of the Institute of Public Law. He talked about his views on constitutional interpretation in light of the Fourteenth Amendment based on his most recent book, the Second Founding, published by Cambridge University Press in 2020. In the 1,5 hour segment, coupled with a Q’n’A session, the students asked him on the differences between originalism and living constitutionalism and how these different schools inform constitutional interpretation and the jurisprudence of the Supreme Court of the United States.
